Dane is Managing Director and co-founder of Optimize Hire. With over ten years of experience working in talent assessment, Dane knows the ins and outs of the industry. Dane was also a student of Dr. Adam Grant while attending the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is well-versed in the psychology as well as the business aspect of pre-employment testing.

Sidd is the Business Development Manager at Optimize Hire and a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he concentrated in marketing and consulting. Sidd’s experience ranges from corporate finance to accounting to sales, and includes time working for NBCUniversal Media in Los Angeles.

 

Our Story

Nine years ago, Dane was one of Dr. Grant's students, and Dr. Grant and Dane were doing a consulting project to help a large organization in North Carolina improve its hiring process. Dr. Grant decided to try a pre-employment test. Unsatisfied with the assessments on the market because they used shoddy science, Dr. Grant built a new assessment based on 100 years of peer-reviewed, scientific evidence. The results from the very first validation study with that organization were so exceptional that Optimize Hire became a standalone company; we knew with Dr. Grant’s test, we could make a big difference for organizations across the nation and throughout the world.

For the first several years, we focused on further developing a really powerful hiring assessment. We grew to several hundred customers in the retail health-care industry, and we now work with companies in a broad variety of industries including enterprise sales, financial services organizations, call centers, and retailers. Through our partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, we continued to refine our pre-employment tests and began to focus on larger clients. Now we focus on multi-billion dollar companies as clients who are hiring hundreds or thousands of people per year. Our smooth integration with iCIMS, Greenhouse and other applicant tracking systems has contributed significantly to that effort.

We know through empirical evidence and head-to-head validation studies that our pre-employment tests are far superior to other assessments on the market. Optimize Hire as a company is not as old as some other pre-employment testing companies on the market, but we are eating up their market share because our pre-employment tests and iCIMS integration are markedly more accurate and shorter in length.
